The Shadowfell is a region in Act Two of Baldur's Gate 3. It is a plane of shadows and claimed as the domain of Shar Shar. Similar to the Astral Plane, gravity is weaker than on the material plane and it is easily possible to jump great distances through the shattered terrain.

Overview[edit | edit source]

The party will travel to the Shadowfell during the quest Find the Nightsong. The main feature of this area is the Nightsong's Prison at the very bottom of the path. There Balthazar Balthazar has chained Aylin Aylin, the Nightsong. The party will have to decide her fate. And this has an important influence on Shadowheart Shadowheart's personal quest The Chosen of Shar.

Regardless of the outcome, taking the portal to the Shadowfell is a point of no return and will lock the party out of several quests and locations. After the Shadowfell the party must confront Ketheric Thorm Ketheric Thorm at Moonrise Towers.
