Sampson was a blacksmith in the Blighted Village. He had been diagnosed with gout, according to Ilyn Toth Ilyn Toth's Healer's Log. He worked at the Blacksmith's Forge and had two known apprentices: Highcliff (see Highcliff's Journal) with who he had disagreements on the practice, and Dida, who was treated by Ilyn for minor burns to the face and hands from her eagerness at the forge.
