Intelligence is an ability score and the primary ability of wizards.
Intelligence affects your Arcana, History, Investigation, Nature, and Religion skills. It also improves spellcasting for wizards, fighters (especially valuable for Eldritch Knights), and rogues (especially valuable for Arcane Tricksters), by increasing the chance of hitting an enemy with spell attack rolls, due to the increased Difficulty Class of spells with saving throws.

Ways to increase
The following sources can permanently increase a character's Intelligence score:
- Auntie Ethel's Hair: +1 to any chosen ability
- Mirror of Loss: +2 to any chosen ability, up to a maximum of 24
- Resilient: +1 to any chosen ability, up to a maximum of 20

Affecting saving throws
