Gomwick can be found dead in the Forest, his corpse protected by his dog Scratch Scratch in Act One.

Involvement

Act One

Using Speak with Dead Speak with Dead can reveal that he was a courier delivering letters to Baldur's Gate. Until Scratch Scratch has calmed down, the dog will not allow Gomwick's body to be looted.

It is possible to return the letters that Gomwick was carrying to Sword Coast Couriers in Act Three. There is no reward for this, but Danzo Arkwright Danzo Arkwright expresses his sorrow at hearing of Gomwick's demise.

North of Gomwick's corpse is a small island that allows the party to jump across the river and bypass the Blighted Village to reach the Risen Road.
