Gomwick

Gomwick is found dead in the Forest with Scratch the dog guarding him.

Involvement

Using  Speak with Dead can reveal that he was courier on a delivery to Baldur's Gate. Until Scratch has been calmed down, the dog will not allow Gomwick's body to be looted.

It is possible to return the letters that Gomwick was carrying to Sword Coast Couriers in Act Three. There is no reward for this, but Danzo Arkwright will express his sorrow at hearing of Gomwick's demise.

North of Gomwick's corpse is a small island, that allows the party to jump across the river and bypass the Blighted Village to get to the Risen Road.

Party member: Where are you from?

• Gomwick: "... from... Triel..."

Party member: Why were you in the forest?

Party member: Where did you keep the letters?

• Gomwick: "... in... bag... standard... issue..."

Party member: What happened to you?

• Gomwick: "... pack of... gnolls... claws... teeth..."
