Druid

Druids channel the elemental forces of nature and share a deep kinship with animals. Mastery of Wild Shape allows them to transform into beasts from all over the Realms.

Druid is a character Class in Baldur's Gate 3. Druids are closely attuned with nature and the animals that live in it. They utilise the power of nature to cast Spells and have the ability to transform into various creatures. Druids use Wisdom as their primary ability score.

The druid subclasses are:

Class information[edit | edit source]

Hit points: At level 1: 8 + Constitution modifier; On level up: 5 + Constitution modifier
Key ability scores: Wisdom for spells; Constitution for hit points and Concentration checks; Dexterity for Armour Class
Saving throw proficiencies: Wisdom, Intelligence
Equipment proficiencies: Clubs, Daggers, Javelins, Maces; Quarterstaves, Scimitars, Sickles, Spears; Light armour, Medium armour; Shields
Skills with proficiency (choose 2): Arcana, Animal Handling, Insight, Medicine, Nature, Perception, Religion, Survival; You receive a bonus to every Skill that you are Proficient in. At character level 1 the Proficiency Bonus is +2.
Starting Equipment: Druid Quarterstaff, Druid Leather Armour, Grovetender Boots

Spellcasting[edit | edit source]

Spellcasting ability: Wisdom
Prepared spells: You may swap your prepared spells at any time while out of combat, but can only have a certain number of spells prepared at a time. The spells must be of a level for which you have spell slots.; Number of Prepared Spells = Druid Level + Wisdom Modifier (minimum of 1 spell.)

Through experience, you acquire new power. You gain the following traits.

Wild Shape

New Wild Shape forms:

Wild Shape: Badger: Take the shape of a giant Badger that can burrow into the ground.
Wild Shape: Cat: Take the shape of a ragdoll Cat that can avoid attention and meow to distract your enemies.
Wild Shape: Spider: Take the shape of a giant Spider that can shoot webs to entangle enemies.
Wild Shape: Wolf: Take the shape of a Wolf that can leave enemies open to Critical Hits and increase allies' Movement Speed.

Wild Shape charges: 2: The number of times you can use your Wild Shape. Replenished with a Short or Long Rest.

Wild Shape: Dilophosaurus: Take the shape of a Dilophosaurus whose corrosive spit can dissolve a target's armour class.

Improved Wild Strike: You can make two additional attacks after making an unarmed strike while in Wild Shape.
