This entire section seems completely inaccurate or at least conflicts with the "Spells" page of this wiki. That page states that Illithid powers use the spell save dc for the given class or multiclass, similar to how it is calculated for items or weapons. This seems much more probable given that your avatar is encouraged to use the tadpoles as part of the main storyline, which could be from any class.
