== About pixies ==
Pixies are a tiny [[fey]] creature, infamous for their trickery, which is sometimes playful and sometimes malicious. They enjoy playing pranks, but some also perform more helpful magic.

During the events of Baldur's Gate 3, pixies are used to light [[Moonlantern]]s, their pixie dust giving off light that provides protection from the shadow curse. However, this comes at the expense of the pixie - the Moonlanterns only work while they are being injured. 

Two pixies can be encountered; one in the [[Shadow-Cursed Lands]] and one in the [[Lower City]]. Several dead pixies can also be found in the Shadow-Cursed Lands, victims of [[Balthazar]]'s experiments on the Moonlanterns.
