Does this trigger when being attacked / hit with physical damage or only when you actually lose hit points? This would be relevant for damage negation effects like Force Conduit itself, Heavy Armour Master or Arcane Ward. It would also be interesting to know how this works with Warding Bond. - A

: This question has been answered elsewhere. The Force Absorption effect of Ripping Force Mail only triggers when actually losing Hit Points to the specified damage types. Temporary Hit Points count as Hit Points in this regard. It does not trigger when damage is negated by Heavy Armour Master or Arcane Ward, unlike Armor of Agathys for example, whose effect triggers on being hit instead of taking damage. - A
