: Hi! I believe the confusing wording was my fault. The intended meaning of the statement is that experience gains are not {{em|split}} among party members, but that they are {{em|awarded}} to all of them, or as you say, {{em|shared}}. I believe your wording is more concise and gets the intended meaning across more efficiently, so I added it (I credited you in the summary), and then in a separate edit made some adjustments to the wording for clarity and consistency. Some Confusing Language in the Game Mechanics Section
When discussing experience sharing, I have found an error that causes a sentence to directly contradict itself.
"When a character gains inspiration, they are also provided a small amount of experience. Experience from any other source is not split among party members – all characters are awarded with experience, including party members left at camp."
In that second sentence, as written, it is stated that experience is NOT split among party members before immediately following with it is shared to all characters.
I was unclear which way it was supposed to go, or I could have corrected this myself fairly easily, hence why I am bringing it up.
Here is a potential alternative, assuming that it was intended to say that experience is shared among both party and camp companions: "When a character gains inspiration, they earn a small amount of experience. Experience from all other sources is shared among all characters, whether in the camp or in your party." — unsigned comment by Kyoko Nightstorm (talk) 10:57, 3 November 2023
