Qudenos appears in the shape of a dragon born in act 3 speaking with Kith'rak Voss in the undercity, waiting for you to show him the Orphic Hammer. You can fight Qudenos while he is in this shape and retains all the characteristics of his dragon form, including his size class, species, and dragon specific abilities. Funnily enough, because he is a red dragon, he has the same bug as the red dragon you fight atop the Netherbrain, being that you can't use Balduran's Giantslayer's special attack on him.
