Tested as a Cleric, my Wisdom (16) is higher than my Charisma (12), swinging a staff at Withers gives "+3 (proficiency) (Hexblade's Curse)" to the damage roll, meaning Hexblade's Curse will choose Wisdom as it's the higher of the two --GoingMenthol (talk) 17:25, 15 April 2025 (CEST)Reply[reply]

It is based on your proficiency bonus, not any ability scores. So it scales with neither CHA nor WIS and it just happens to be that your proficiency bonus of 3 matches your WIS mod of 3. NtCarlson (talk) 17:27, 15 April 2025 (CEST)Reply[reply]
