Defensive Attack (passive feature)

Defensive Attack is a passive feature that lets the wielder of Defender Greataxe temporarily sacrifices one Enchantment level from the axe to gain +1 bonus AC and saving throws. This choice is given when making the first attack with the axe in a round.

Description

When making your first attack of the round, you can reduce this weapon's enchantment by 1 to increase your Armour Class Armour Class and Saving throw bonus by 1.

  • This provided reaction is only triggered when making the first attack with Defender Greataxe in a round. Subsequent attacks do not give an opportunity to activate this action.
  • The -1 penalty to attack rolls from this effect will be applied to the attack that triggers the reaction. The confirmation prompt for the reaction will show the attack roll and AC of the target so you can decline the reaction if it would turn a hit into a miss.
