How to learn

Notes

  • The tabletop version is quite different, instead granting a bonus to AC equal to the roll of a Superiority Dice for as long as the user keeps moving.
  • The disadvantage on melee attacks against the user is instead more similar to the Dodge action (not implemented in the game) which grants disadvantage on all attack rolls against the user and granting advantage to the user's Dexterity saving throws.
  • Prior to patch 8, this ability only worked on melee weapon attacks, instead of all melee attacks.

Bugs

  • The 1 turn duration of Evasive Footwork Evasive Footwork is deceptively short. The duration ticks down at the end of the Battle Master's turn and thus ends immediately on the very same turn. Thus, aside from opportunity attacks or ripostes, Evasive Footwork will have ended before any enemies make their attacks.
