"Paladins, Bards, Fiend Warlocks and Sorcerers may make a DC 18 Charisma saving throw instead" is incorrect. The Charisma save is also available to GOO Warlocks. And possibly Archfey, I haven't had a chance to test this yet. 67.171.85.248 06:42, 13 April 2024 (CEST)

Pronoun confusion edit
I did an edit for some clarity and brevity based on an edit by 194.113.66.12 on 21, April, 2025, but am having an issue with their use of pronouns, making it hard for me (and possibly others) to understand exactly what is meant by 'Avatar' in this context and, consequently, a clearer example of exactly how this event can occur. Can that person (or another) please help? Raelin (talk) 02:14, 21 April 2025 (CEST)
- I'm pretty sure an 'avatar' in this context means 'the player character' (as I used to write this myself prior). I.e. they mean that this is the situation when it is not the Lae'zel origin played, but she is in the party as a companion and is taken as an active party member to speak with Stornugoss. AFAIR, this dialogue allows any other party member to take the leading part, and is not switched automatically to the player character. Arikel (talk) 07:58, 21 April 2025 (CEST)
- This makes sense, but the specifics are still lost on me. Is this a situation where Lae'zel sits in the Zaith'isk but the lead player character is far enough away so they cannot participate in conversation dialogue? I'll have to bring up a prior save (I literally have hundreds for specific reference points such as this) to find out... Raelin (talk) 08:12, 21 April 2025 (CEST)
- I've found the dialogue file responsible for the conversation the contributor alludes to: Dialogs/Act1b/UpperCreche/CRE_GithInfirmary_Device.html
- The synopsis/emulation instruction there says: "as a companion, speak w doctor-> say your friend needs a tadpole removed-> switch to plyr and speak with doctor-> accept help and interact with zaith'isk"
- The lines used have flags "Player: <...> REALLY_LAEZEL", which means using them while being an active speaker, but not nesessary the player character. Arikel (talk) 09:10, 21 April 2025 (CEST)
