Representative of the aspects of chill, ice, and water{{DamageType|Cold}} damage often serves as a counter to {{DamageType|Fire}} damage. {{DamageType|Cold}} has a strong association with conditions and effects that reduce Targets ground movement speed making it very useful for manipulating the environment of a battlefield and impeding melee attackers.
