Shadow-Cursed Lands
Moonrise Towers Prison
Oubliette

Oubliette is an area under Moonrise Towers Prison. Shrouded in shadow and covered in bloody viscera, it houses prisoners of the Cult of the Absolute, both living and dead.

Overview

Oubliette can be reached in multiple ways:

  • From Moonrise Towers Prison, it can be reached by descending into the pit in Moonrise Towers Prison X: 580 Y: 690, or by jumping into the hole inside one of the cells X: 579 Y: -615.
  • From Moonrise Towers, it can be reached by submitting to or failing the checks to escape the cracked wall X: -126 Y: -177.
  • If the player progresses through Reithwin Town X: -290 Y: -14 on the Road to Baldur's Gate before Ketheric Thorm is defeated, the player will be given the choice to continue ahead or turn back; if the player chooses to continue, they will be immediately transported to the Oubliette.

Although the oubliette is in the same area map as the Mind Flayer Colony, they are discrete areas. The colony may only be reached after defeating Ketheric on top of Moonrise Towers, and the oubliette cannot be reached from the colony.
