Well, I mean... kind of? It's a long story, honestly.

Is it possible to rename Shovel after acquiring the permanent ability to summon her?

You can't learn to summon Shovel during the first conversation.
Caster (Wizard, Sorcerer, Warlock) can learn to summon Shovel if they speak with Shovel after the initial conversation. If the correct options were used during the first.
If a wizard scribed the spell and follows some dialogue rules, another caster can then also learn to summon Shovel permanently -> two characters can permanently summon Shovel
This worked with wizard, warlock and sorcerer - subclasses made no difference in my tests.
A character can temporarily respecc for this method and the spell stays available even when changing to a non caster again.

Sorcerer have class specific dialogue options when summoning Shovel from the scroll but none of them lead to learning the spell.
This seems to prevent other casters from learning to summon Shovel in a follow up conversation.
