So I offer my services to you - I can keep a ship still and silent in choppy waters, pilot through dark of night or heavy storm, and have of late developed a healthy respect for my clientele's privacy. I will take your members where they need to go. What they do there is entirely their own business. Should that business frustrate the city authorities, I consider that an added bonus.

To whom it may concern,

My name is Tobia Narth. I am a steerswoman, lately of Elturel, where I piloted every class of vessel through the port without a single incident noted in the harbourmaster's log over twenty-two years.

I did not come to this city for charity. I came for refuge, and honest work - but the authorities have made it clear they have no interest in that. They have seized my coin and granted me a tenday to secure 'consistent' employment.

Yours,

Tobia
