Bruc and Pishe's Emporium is a Location within the Lower City in Act Three of Baldur's Gate 3.

Overview[edit section | visual editor]

Bruc and Pishe's Emporium is a small building, one in the labyrinth of narrow alleys of the Brampton district of Baldur's Gate. It has one storey and a large basement hidden in the rocky cliff above the Vonayn's Home and the sandy beach beneath. The only entrance to it is across the Guildhall Entrance at X: 56 Y: -104. It is locked (requires DC 10 Sleight of Hand Check DC 10 Sleight of Hand Check to lockpick), but breaking in is not considered a crime.

On the old plaque near the entrance the former name of the establishment can be read: "Tina Turki's Good Time Bazaar".

The building is being used by the Guild as a storage area and a postal address for the correspondence, and its basement – as a makeshift office. Outside a ladder on the eastern side of the building leads to the roof. A patch of knotted roots can be used to climb on the roof to go one level higher, although nothing of interest is there.

Behind the building is a winch with the elevator hanging over a half-flooded cavern mouth.

Building layout[edit section | visual editor]

Ground floor[edit section | visual editor]

On the ground floor various miscellanous items are scattered around, as well as several letters addressed to the Guild concerning debts and services' offers. In a locked chest (requires DC 15 Sleight of Hand Check DC 15 Sleight of Hand Check to lockpick) are Thieves' Tools (up to three sets) and / or Trap Disarm Toolkit, and the Guild Ring. None of items or containers inside is red-outlined.

The Guild Ring can be used to enter the Guildhall: inserting it into the interactable wall slot at X: 59 Y: -97 reveals the entrance.

Around the room are three named pouches, containing small amounts of gold. One of them holds the Patriar's Letter. Their owners can be found in the alley behind the building (see below).

At the far end of the room a locked hatch leads to the basement. The lock requires DC 15 Sleight of Hand Check DC 15 Sleight of Hand Check to lockpick.

Basement[edit section | visual editor]

The main room of the basement is a makeshift office for the current Guild operations. On a large table here are various reports from minor gangs. According to these letters, the situation in the Guild's campaign against the Stone Lord looks dire.

Containers around the basement may contain Camp Supplies, alchemical ingredients and useful items like Trap Disarm Toolkits or high-grade health potions.

On the cupboard in the corner lies a copy of the File Under Diabolist (another one can be found in the Guildhall). This document hints on HelsikHelsik as a paerson who can provide passage into the Nine Hells. This information (if it was not obtained prior) updates all quests corcerning the party's dealings with RaphaelRaphael and freeing Prince OrpheusPrince Orpheus.

The southwest part of the room is used as storage. At its opposite ends two DC 15 Perception Check DC 15 Perception Checks reveal a trapped movable wall and a pressure plate. Removing the weight from the plate opens a hidden door on the east wall, behind it is a trapped chest (DC 15 Perception Check DC 15 Perception Check to detect a trap, DC 15 Sleight of Hand Check DC 15 Sleight of Hand Check to disarm) which contains another Guild Ring, random spell scrolls and / or alchemical ingredients.

Outside the building[edit section | visual editor]

The alley along the Bruc and Pishe's Emporium and its roof is guarded by several Guild thugs. One of them, the half-orc TusgrontTusgront, initiates a dialogue when the party approach him for the first time (provided that they have not been in the Guildhall via the other way, through the Lower City Sewers). All options to pass Tusgront by are listed on the location page.

Behind the house are three burned corpses, on the ground – all members of various patriar families of Baldur's Gate. Three pouches inside the building belonged to them.

On a crate nearby lies a Parchment from Mystic CarrionMystic Carrion, addressed to one of the ill-fated patriars. It gives the passphrase which opens the door to the Philgrave's Mansion, if the party has no clues on it yet.

Across the entrance to the Bruc and Pishe's Emporium is a ruined building, where the ground level is actually the Guildhall Entrance. Above it, on the intact porch is a mailbox with the Counting House Safe nº8 Key inside.
