* If you knock him and/or his brother out with {{SAI|Toggle Non-Lethal Attacks}}, you may notify [[Mayrina]] that they are only unconscious. As of {{Date}}, however, she will still treat them as though they are dead.

* If you have a character who is very [[Stealthy]], or someone who can [[Misty Step]], [[Dimension Door]] or otherwise get past [[Auntie Ethel]] and the brothers without notice, you can reach the [[Ancient Sigil Circle]] to bring the rest of your party down.  Then you can disarm all of the traps. Afterward, kill the 3 [[Redcap]]<nowiki/>s and the 1 [[Redcap Blood Sage]].  After this is done, return to [[Johl]] and Demir. Side with them - [[Auntie Ethel]] will disappear. The brothers will say they are going to try and rescue [[Mayrina]] and then they will disappear as well. At this point, the brothers are as saved as you can make them  - they disappear into the swamp.<br />
