== Involvement ==

When the party first arrive at the [[Emerald Grove]], they find {{CharLink|Aradin Beno|Aradin}}, {{CharLink|Barth}}, and {{CharLink|Remira}} attempting to enter the sanctuary. An arrow strikes the gatekeeper, {{CharLink|Kanon}}, trapping the adventurers outside as a group of [[Goblin]]s attack. Za'krug is the goblin boss who advances the ambush along with other [[Goblin]]s, a [[Bugbear]], and [[Worg]]. The group is immediately hostile to the party.

== Notes ==

* Similar to the [[Intellect Devourer (Weakened)|weakened Intellect Devourers on the nearby beach]], Za'krug and his cohort are different creatures from the general [[Goblin Tracker]], [[Bugbear]], etc. found throughout Act One. This is revealed on [[Tactician]], where they lack the racial bonuses found on otherwise identical enemies. In Za'krug's case, he lacks the passive {{SAI|Fury of the Small}}.
