I'm not sure if this is true if you tell Minthara the location of the grove, thereby initiating the raid, and then double-cross her and defend the grove. Well...[edit source]
"Should the party decide to save the druid grove and the tieflings, it will be necessary to kill him."
I'm not sure if this is true if you tell Minthara the location of the grove, thereby initiating the raid, and then double-cross her and defend the grove. Ragzlin will not be part of the fight and will remain back at the goblin camp. He can be killed afterwards if the party chooses to travel back to the camp (which will be hostile) but this is not necessary to finish the quest (at least not to get the celebration at camp; I haven't tested yet if the tieflings are still considered to have made it out safely this way).
This route has another weirdness in that, even if you free Halsin before initiating the raid and inform him of the attack, he will not be present to defend the grove, even though by all logic he should be. 84.84.67.202 16:15, 25 November 2024 (CET)
- Yeah, you're right. I made the same observation during my recent playthrough, including Halsin not arriving in time defend the grove.
- And as my party ventured in Act Two, the tieflings, which should have survided, were alive and kicking in the Last Light Inn, Alfira, Dammon, Rolan, Cerys, Bex and the Tiefling kids including Mol and Mattis were all there, as they should be.
- Thus, it seems, that the quest to save grove can be completed without killing Dror Ragzlin and Gut.
- I added this to Drors page and will add it to the pages of Minthara, Gut, the Shattered Sanctum and the quest, if and where necessary. Hawkeye (talk) 18:34, 25 November 2024 (CET)
