Verifying the Astarion Dialogue[edit source]
Most of this dialogue is fetched from datamined dialogue. It would be good to verify that it appears in game. Providing the options below Annie (talk) 21:26, 9 October 2023 (CEST)
- Is it safe to assume that all of the dialogue you're targeting is from Act One? ArcaneFocus (talk) 00:15, 10 October 2023 (CEST)
It was a mob of Gur that left me half-dead two hundred years ago. That left me begging Cazador to turn me so I could survive to take revenge[edit source]
This dialogue begins with asking Astarion "That monster hunter you killed in the swamp - he was after you, wasn't he?" Prerequisites for the dialogue seems to be that the party knows Astarion is a vampire, that they learned the monster hunter was after a target, but not that it was astarion, and that they have not yet discussed the hunter with Astation. The line is in response to the later player option: "The next time someone comes looking for you, you're on your own." Annie (talk) 21:26, 9 October 2023 (CEST)
I knew you were a jackass, but a racist? I'm shocked[edit source]
Bringing Astarion to meet Gandrel in the Sunlit Wetlands should be all this takes. He'll comment that he thought all Gur were vagrant cutthroats, and the player should have this option. Annie (talk) 21:26, 9 October 2023 (CEST)
You killed him because you're bigoted against his people?[edit source]
This dialogue begins with talking to Gandrel and learning more about his quarry with Astarion present. After being asked to roll, whether or not you succeed, say nothing. Astarion should kill Gandrel, and this should be one of the ways you can react. Annie (talk) 21:26, 9 October 2023 (CEST)
"You can't hold every Gur responsible for what happened to you."[edit source]
So for this one, it starts with "I met a monster hunter in the swamp. He was looking for you." You must've met Gandrel on your own in the swamp. I think there's a lot of potential dialogue options that lead here. Annie (talk) 21:26, 9 October 2023 (CEST)
"Not him, no. A gang of thugs attacked me, angry about a ruling that I'd handed down as magistrate."[edit source]
I don't know what prompts the conversation itself. It starts with "I suppose you want to hear about Cazador.", and checks for the flags that the player knows Astarion is a vampire, and that he has a master named Cazador. However, the player must not have heard Cazador's history. When Astarion asks if you want to hear about Cazador, tell him: "You said he was your master?" or "You don't have to tell me anything you don't want to.". Later on, when he says "He turned me nearly two hundred years ago. I became his spawn and he became my tormentor." respond with "How were you turned? Did he attack you?".
