BOOOAL's Benediction (Condition)

From bg3.wiki
See also BOOOAL's Blessing BOOOAL's Blessing for an equivalent effect attached to the Sickle of BOOOAL.

Sources of BOOOAL's Benediction[edit | edit source]

  • Using the Sickle of BOOOAL to sacrifice a true companion to BOOOAL BOOOAL results in obtaining this as a permanent buff. There must be at least two companions in the party. It can be one true companion (e.g. Laezel, Shadowheart, Gale, etc.) and a hireling for the right dialogue choices to appear.
  • It is possible to get the buff without having to sacrifice a companion with the following steps:
    • Luring Pooldripp Pooldripp away from the altar (for instance: up the path toward the exit to the Underdark) with Minor Illusion Minor Illusion or other non-violent means. He does not move after investigation.
    • Pickpocketing Sickle of BOOOAL off of Pooldripp, and avoiding him until he goes back to worshipping.
    • Triggering the cutscene near the altar.
    • Navigating the dialogue choices to either persuade BOOOAL that the player character can "kill many more in your name"; or identify him as a "rabid little fey creature" and then say "[To priest] to "bow before BOOOAL's chosen".

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • The buff disappears if all of the Kuo-toa in The Festering Cove are killed.
  • The buff persists through death.
  • Only characters who are present and in the active party at the moment the Benediction is triggered receive the buff. Those at camp or outside the party roster do not receive it, and the effect cannot be reapplied later.
