Blood Thirst with Hex Necrotic Damage edit

Multiple sources of DamageBonus() certainly do stack. Rydiak (talk) 04:34, 30 October 2025 (CET)Reply

I took another look at this. It did not stack with Hex, but did with Dark Justiciar Gauntlets. Raelin (talk) 04:56, 30 October 2025 (CET)Reply
On another test, this time where Jaheira was wearing the horns and gauntlets, the necrotic damage from the horns also applied, but the total necrotic damage was combined in the combat log into a single entry. Raelin (talk) 05:16, 30 October 2025 (CET)Reply
Is that not how every single DamageBonus of the same element type works? Rydiak (talk) 06:11, 30 October 2025 (CET)Reply

"Not enough damage" edit

Per the article,

The damage taken from this item is not enough to sustain RageRage on its own.

It's unclear what this means:

  • The damage this item does doesn't count for purposes of the condition "take damage each turn" of Rage; or
  • There is a damage threshold you must pass for Rage to count as "sustaining it".

In the former case this should be reworded; in the latter it would be interesting to know what that threshold is, since the page on Rage makes no mention of it. Nudiustertian (talk) 02:55, 16 November 2025 (CET)Reply

I am not sure either, and I think the note is incorrect. The damage threshold for sustaining rage is simply anything higher than 0, and the self-damage from Blood Thirst maintained my rage in my tests. NtCarlson (talk) 03:19, 16 November 2025 (CET)Reply
Right, I forgot option number three: people telling lies on the internet! Or rather, making an incorrect observation, more likely, let's be charitable. :P The item maintaining rage by itself is good to mention, as it's an obvious synergy and the exact opposite of what the notes currently imply.
