Shadow lantern does produce light edit
Since patch 8 the shadow lantern produces the same circle of light around the wielder as a moon lantern. Also, the summon ability appears on the Common toolbar when Toggle light source is clicked even though it is not in the weapon slots. 115.187.97.62 01:19, 31 May 2025 (CEST)

Shadow Lantern does not need to be equipped in the weapon slot edit
you can equip the Shadow Lantern in the torch slot and use all it's benefits. you simply have to switch to it by the toggle light source button. it will provide illumination, the moon shield effect and allow to use the ability conjure shadow lantern wraith. This is as of November 2025, without any mods. After I made this edit to the page it was reverted to the factually wrong information, that it needs to be equipped in the weapon slot. - The toggle light source button simply puts your light source into your weapon slot. If you open your inventory after clicking it, you will notice that your weapon has been unequipped and the light source put into your weapon slot. (Clicking the button again will put the light source back into your inventory and equip your last equipped weapon.) Taylan (talk) 19:32, 21 November 2025 (CET)
