Yrre became obsessed with lightning when they first left the Underdark and encountered a powerful storm.{{ref|[[The Watersparkers]]: "An enormous storm was raging the first time Yrre the Sparkstruck left the Underdark. The deep gnome's interest in lightning at once became an all-consuming obsession, and they would spend the rest of their years trying to recreate that storm's power themselves."|act1}} They were in a relationship with [[Lenore De Hurst]], the owner of the [[Arcane Tower]]. After a falling-out, Yrre left the tower.{{ref|[[Letter to Yrre]]: "I don't know if you're coming back ... Despite everything, I still love you."|act1}} They eventually returned, but Lenore was long gone.{{ref|[[The Spellsparkler]]: "Yrre the Sparkstruck intended to give the Spellsparkler to Lenore a cleric of Mystra and old lover. But when the gnome returned to the cleric's tower, they found it empty - inhabited only by dust and abandoned experiments."|act3}} It is unknown what happened to Yrre after this, but many of their inventions are found scattered across the [[Underdark]] and [[Grymforge]].
