Believed by the Flymms to be a warlock, Gortash was in reality sold to [[Raphael]]<ref name="Nubalin">Dialogue with [[Nubalin ]]in the House of Hope</ref>. Gortash became a pageboy in [[Raphael]]'s and [[Nubalin]]'s service<ref name="Datamined Note">Mentioned as a note in datamined dialogue.</ref>. He was physically abused<ref name="Nubalin">Dialogue with [[Nubalin ]]in the House of Hope</ref>, and left on poor terms<ref name="Helsik Note">''[[Note from Helsik]]''</ref>.
