Stacking?[edit section]

Do flavors of contagion stack? Sevaa (talk) 21:19, 1 December 2025 (CET)Reply

They do. Each version of the spell applies a series of conditions with different stack IDs (e.g. CONTAGION_POISON_FLESH_ROT and CONTAGION_POISON_FILTH_FEVER). This means a target can be simultaneously inflicted with multiple variants of Contagion PoisonedContagion Poisoned at once.
I'll add a note to the page clarifying this. NtCarlson (talk) 21:28, 1 December 2025 (CET)Reply

Best Use[edit section]

One of the best uses (some say ONLY use) is against Orin in her doppleganger form in BG city in Act 3. If you can tell which of the "people" she's doppleganger'd as, which is trivial by inspection, cast this on her in person form. She will un-cloak as Orin, do her little speech, then disapparate and not aggro.

You can do this twice in the city, and by the time you do the boss fight, she'll be way easier.

I haven't found any other case where you can cast this on a boss character and NOT have them aggro immediately.

Somewhat intersting is after the first time you can tell you're getting close to her second appearance by the spell save rolls in your chat spam.

That is discussed in detail on Orin/Combat --Capranaut (talk) 18:52, 20 June 2026 (CEST)Reply
