Default final choice as a Dark Justiciar[edit source]

Current page (from 9 March 2024) specifies that If Dark Justiciar Shadowheart is given the choice to make on her own, without any persuading from the party, she says all she has left to do is to follow orders and kills her parents. This was not true on my Dark Urge playthrough and she decided to release them. From what I've found from other sources, it seems that the choice she makes may depend on how many memories she regains before that moment. I didn't give her the Noblestalk in Act 2, but I've visited the cemetery and found the tombstone, got the dialogue about graffiti on a wall, also another one about Baldur's Gate smell and also visited that hidden location from Cloister. Hmmm, or maybe is random... 79.115.52.22 23:18, 19 March 2024 (CET)Reply[reply]

I have different dialog choices[edit source]

The page says: Viconia initially attempts to negotiate in a way which keeps blades sheathed:

  1. All right, you wish to negotiate? Make me an offer then.
  2. As far as the artefact is concerned, there's nothing to discuss.
  3. Attack
  4. Turn to leave.

When I enter the room and she speaks to the party, I have the following options:

  1. Shadowheart has nothing to prove to the likes of you.
  2. This was a mistake. We shouldn't have come here.
  3. Why is the artefact so important to you?
  4. Keep silent.

All options lead to Viconia eventually demanding I surrender Shadowheart, which only gives the option to do so or not and fight everyone. --MeanJim (talk) 05:56, 17 August 2024 (CEST)Reply[reply]

Same options for me. There were no checks offered. This must have changed with a recent patch. Galya (talk) 00:54, 23 September 2024 (CEST)Reply[reply]
I also had the same options and no checks in my last playthrough... in Patch #6. Hawkeye (talk) 01:21, 23 September 2024 (CEST)Reply[reply]

Nightsong points vs. Parent points[edit source]

Gonna be quick here - I have seen a playthrough on YT in which both Nightsong was spared without making a DC check and parents were saved without a DC check as well.

Shadowheart was romanced during that playthrough.

During the Nightsong scene Shadowheart asked "what do you think?" and the player was able to pick "This is your choice. I can't make it for you" without the DC check (which according to wiki indicates that at least 4 Nightsong points have been gained). 89.64.7.144 00:45, 9 April 2025 (CEST)Reply[reply]

If you care to share that YT link, others can take a look and get more context for what happened. Raelin (talk) 01:57, 9 April 2025 (CEST)Reply[reply]
Sure thing!
It's a playthrough done by Welonz.
Here is the Nightsong scene:

Here is the Parent scene:

Shadowheart is romanced during that playthrough if it changes anything. 89.64.7.144 19:15, 9 April 2025 (CEST)Reply[reply]
This means that if Selûnite Shadowheart spared the Nightsong without being convinced to by DC checks, then she does not spare her parents without being convinced to by DC checks. © without being convinced. That it, I think. DC check is irrelevant. If you have 40+ approval points in Gauntlet of Shar - you always will be asked by Shadowheart about her actions and you can answer "spare her" (no DC). But with 4 NP and less than 21 approval rating or greater than 39 you allowed to not tell her what to do with Selunite outcome - "This is your choice. I can't make it for you" and she still spare NightSong. Major question here - did streamer gain 4 Nightsong Points ?
Hey, fellas. It is doesn't matter anymore: The Nightsong Points/Parent Points bug was finally fixed in Patch 8! Gaining 4+ Nightsong Points will no longer block you from setting the correct flag after visiting two of the memory locations. © SlimX. Congrats. So, now it's time to edit...

You can spare Viconia AND get her equipments[edit source]

I had a Shadow Monk cast Silence (it most likely won't make a difference from the spell kind) and then I knocked her out, inside the Silence Aura I didn't have the option to talk to her, so I thought she was knocked out like any other character so I was able to loot her three unique items. I was exploring the place and when I was back the Silence had expired and I had the option to talk to her, so I both got the three items and let her live. I think, it is or at least was possible to knock her out and then - without silencing her - loot her as long as combat is still ongoing (using right click context menu). And then after the combat is over, it is (or was) possible to spare her. Hawkeye (talk) 21:34, 30 April 2025 (CEST)Reply[reply]
