Guide-like information[edit section]
@Samgn: Heya, thanks for the edits. However, please note that we try not to turn item/spell/etc. pages into a "guide" or tutorial-like content, where every possible synergy with other items etc. is explained. Because if we did that, it would be an endless rabbit hole, and many such pages would turn into a mess. It can also be difficult to judge what is and isn't worth including if we go that route, because lots of people come up with smart tricks and synergies in their personal builds. So, we try to stick to basic facts as much as possible. Taylan (talk) 18:25, 4 October 2026 (CEST)
- By the way, if you feel strongly about it or want some kind of guide that you can link other people to, feel free to create a Guide page about the Hat of Uninhibited Kushigo. E.g. Guide:Hat of Uninhibited Kushigo. There, you can add as much free-form tutorial-like explanations as you like. We just try to keep the main namespace of the wiki clean of such content because it gets too much. Taylan (talk) 18:32, 4 October 2026 (CEST)
- That makes sense, and I can understand keeping the format clean. Definitely a more lean and easily readable format. Reddit, by comparison, is a nightmare of elitism and unhelpful answers; of locked-in and archived confusion and misinformation. This item in particular has an enormous amount of confusion surrounding it and virtually without any accurate or useful information regarding it's effective use online. So I thought I'd submit an edit, as your wiki is a phenomenal resource for players and about the only source I personally use, doing my own research. But my wording was aimed to directly speak-to those confusions and offer what it's good at and what it offers during the time in the game within which it is introduced. It's actually very useful doing what it's made for and players will easily miss that without some targeted use-case help and nuance, speaking to those confusions. Regardless, I'm thankful for the site you've made and the work you do. You mentioned writing a guide and I'd consider that, though writing out what I submitted took far longer than expected with all of the careful wording and explanation necessary to explain some of this with any accuracy and helpfulness. Cuts into my coffee and staring at the multi-class screen time <3. But no offense here. Word it how you like if you think it's helpful. Samgn (talk) 19:13, 4 October 2026 (CEST)
- Thanks for the kind words! To be clear (in case you didn't know) your content isn't gone; the wiki archives every revision: https://bg3.wiki/w/index.php?title=Hat_of_Uninhibited_Kushigo&oldid=432429 (Accessed from the "View history" tab of a page.) So you can copy it easily into a guide if you wish. You can access the "code" of your edit by clicking "Edit page" while viewing the archived revision.
- Didn't wanna undo your hard work. It's just a past decision we made regarding how much explanation there should be on pages like this, because there's been a number of times where it just got longer and longer until it became so wordy that people most likely didn't even bother reading it anymore. So we try to make things as concise as possible now. Taylan (talk) 19:34, 4 October 2026 (CEST)
- That's a more helpful way to have it, I agree. Cheers, and have a good weekend wherever you are. /salute Samgn (talk) 19:49, 4 October 2026 (CEST)
