For the tile/hidden room, I verified that you either need to a) go into group sneak mode and travel across the tile; or b) go into turn-based mode and position all 4 characters on the tile, one at each corner, by clicking on that corner of the tile. This will open the door. Weight is irrelevant as I put Lae'zel with Elixir of Cloud Giant Strength (27) and a full pack (over 500 lbs) and it accomplished nothing.
