Alternatw way to aquire

You can still get this shield even if you don't talk to yoghurt, or whatever his face is, at all. Simply kill a couple of the rats (i killed the ones by yorgor's throne), then walk around the gauntlet for a bit, and more rats will approach you and talk to you, pleading with you not to kill them and that they will give you their treasure in exchange for sparing their lives. Then follow them to their hideout by the big statue, which will cause a fight and reward you the shield and Justiciar's Scimitar
