Special Thrown Property?[edit source]

I've noticed that when dropping the Sussur Dagger on the ground, it cannot be thrown - but it can be thrown from the inventory.

Is this unique to this item?

Is it a bug?

Feel free to troubleshoot this.

You're right, for some reason it doesn't highlight if I press 'x' (for throwing) - Apart from that, you can throw (with pressing 'x') most (or even all?) items from your inventory. --Gewinnste (talk) 16:08, 21 March 2025 (CET)Reply[reply]

Silencing requires a failed DC 12 CON-saving throw of the target[edit source]

This is, in fact, in the article, but the first sentence just says that it silences on hit and that it thus is a good tool against spellcasters. But a DC 12 CON-saving throw is really easy to pass, especially for spellcasters, and I found these Sussur-weapons to not be all that effective at all for that reason (apart from the fact that it's not really necessary to silence spellcasting opponents in the first place: If you know what you're doing, i.e. have your Initiative up, with all characters, use Haste/Potions of Speed, etc. they almost never live to get to use their spells). --Gewinnste (talk) 16:08, 21 March 2025 (CET)Reply[reply]

Ability Synergy - Bind Weapon[edit source]

I wonder if its Silence ability works when thrown from equipped by a character with Bind Weapon, and if it returns to the character the way Bund Weapon says it should... Anyone have tested this, please update here with the result!! Spamsdelicious (talk) 16:26, 4 May 2025 (CEST)Reply[reply]

Just tried this with an Eldritch Knight's Bound Weapon. Yes this dagger returns after being thrown, no it doesn't trigger Silence. 23.92.142.132 08:09, 9 July 2025 (CEST)Reply[reply]
