Weeping Dawn
Weeping Dawn[1] is a song composed by the tiefling bard Alfira to honor her late mentor Lihala. Depending on the party's actions, Alfira may perform the song in full in a cutscene.
Involvement[edit section | visual editor]
Alfira is on the hill overlooking the druidic shrine circle at the Emerald Grove. She is frustrated over a lack of progress in composing a song for her recently deceased teacher, Lihala.
The party can choose to help by inspiring her. If a party member offers aid by encouraging Alfira with words, she becomes inspired and a cutscene plays where she performs her near-finished song for the party. She titles her song "The Weeping Dawn" and confesses in tears that she was with her teacher Lihala when they were ambushed by gnolls, and that since then she has been struggling to create a worthy eulogy for her.
For helping her party members with the Entertainer background can gain the inspiration A Bard's Muse. Alfira then remains in this location, giving finishing touches to her song and singing it periodically.
An instrumental version of this song plays occasionally while the party explore the Lower City.
Lyrics[edit section | visual editor]
Dance upon the stars tonight.
Smile, and pain will fade away.
Words of mine will turn to ash
When you call the last light down.
Moon reminds me of your grace,
All the love I cannot repay.
Rest and know that I will pray.
Farewell, my dear old friend.
Moon, sun, all remind me of your grace.
Faith, care, all the love I can't repay.
Moon, sun, all remind me of your grace.
Faith, care, all the love I can't repay.
Dance upon the stars tonight.
Smile, and pain will fade away.
Words of mine will turn to ash
When you call the last light down.
Moon reminds me of your grace,
All the love I can't repay.
Rest and know that I will pray.
Farewell, my dear old friend.
Dance upon the stars tonight.
Smile, and pain will fade away.
