Insidious Cold[edit source]

The effect Insidious Cold has a separate DC to your spellcasting DC. This isn't uncommon in 5e, but not outright stated anywhere in bg3.

Using a divination wizard I identified that the DC seems to be 12. I'm not sure if items and effects that increase your DC affect this as well.

I investigated this as it was strange how infrequently I'd ever actually see Insidious Cold affect an enemy.

Tl;dr: Insidious Cold is a DC12. unsigned comment by TheWizardTrask (talk) 2024.01.22

- When dual wielding Insidious Cold does not seem to apply as of patch #7

Mourning Frost / Heart of Ice?[edit source]

Notes for Mourning Frost appear to call it "Heart of Ice". I suspect item name was changed sometime during development. See quote below:

"The +1 Cold Damage from the Heart of Ice applies to the cold damage dealt by the melee attack." 184.55.144.128 18:13, 10 March 2025 (CET)Reply[reply]

Heart of Ice is the name of the passive that is responsible for adding +1 cold damage to cold damage attacks. Rydiak (talk) 20:11, 10 March 2025 (CET)Reply[reply]
