When asked, she says shes selling it to you because she needs more gold than what the jewlers would give her for it, due to the market being flooded by loot brought in by adventurers, which you can apologize for contributing to. The player can choose to reject her offer, buy the necklace, or give her 200 gold and let her keep the necklace
