Doora Thumbfoot
Doora Thumbfoot is a lightfoot halfling in Baldur's Gate 3. She is on the ground floor of the Elfsong Tavern near one of the doorways to the kitchen.
Involvement[edit section | visual editor]
When spoken to, she offers to sell the party her mother's Polished Necklace with no additional properties for 200 gold. When asked, she says she wishes to sell it because she needs more gold than what the jewelers would give her for it, due to the market being flooded by loot brought in by adventurers - something which the party can apologize for contributing to. If pressed, she eventually admits that she needs the money to help her husband escape Baldur's Gate after incurring the wrath of Enver Gortash.
- Oh? What's this 'good cause'? +1 +1 +1 +1
- This isn't my first shakedown - what's the grift? +1 +1 +1 +1
- Oh, the fake jewellery trick's a classic - what's the occasion? +1 +1 +1 +1
- Depends, is it fire-proof? Acid-proof? Everything-proof, basically?
The party can choose to reject her offer, buy the necklace, or give her 200 gold and let her keep the necklace.
- I'll buy your necklace. +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1 +1
- Keep your jewellery. Here - for your troubles. +2 +2 +2 +1 +1 +1 +1
If Gortash is defeated, Doora leaves and is not seen again.
Bugs[edit section | visual editor]
- It is actually possible to trade with Doora and buy the necklace from her during the same dialogue, for less than 200 gold (depending on the discount). If a party member does this and then agrees to buy the necklace from her, Doora is quite upset about the necklace that she just sold to the party herself, disappearing.
