I summoned the quasit with Wyll (warlock lv3, paladin lv1), went through his dialogue, then exited and interacted with the book with Wyll (previously only Tav interacted with the necromancer of thay). When I spoke with Shovel again, the dialogue was stuck on "tell you the truth see" and I didn't have the spell. However, after a combat encounter in which shovel took part and survived and after short resting the spell appeared in my hotbar as a ritual cantrip. This was done is honor mode.
