Riposte is a Battle Master Fighter Reaction. This ability allows the Battle Master to counterattack and deal damage when an enemy misses them with a melee attack.
Description
When a creature misses you with a melee attack, expend a superiority die to retaliate with a powerful attack that deals an additional 1d8 Physical damage
.
This is a Reaction. Toggle a reaction during your turn. It will automatically execute when needed.
Properties
Reaction + Superiority Die
- Damage: Weapon Damage + 1d8Physical (Inherits Weapon Damage Type)
- Attack roll
- Melee: 1.5 m / 5 ft (Inherits Weapon Range; melee weapons only)
At Higher Levels
When this maneuver is used at Battle Master level 10, the damage added by the Superiority Die increases to 1d10Physical (not available in Early Access).
