[Rambling notes in a spidery, jagged hand fill the volume. They speak of a 'soul cage' binding the lifeforce of one to that of another. A crude drawing shows two figures, side by side. The one of the left appears to have a dagger protruding from its chest, while the one on the right has a corresponding wound in its own chest.]
