Act One[edit | edit source]
The mind flayer is trapped beneath debris in the Nautiloid Wreck. If the party interact with it, it attempts to telepathically control the party member to lean in so that it can consume their brain. The party member can attempt to resist through the following options:
- [WISDOM] Resist the intrusion with everything you have. (DC 5)
- [DRACONIC BLOODLINE] [CHARISMA] You host the blood of a mighty dragon. Channel its will to resist the abomination. (DC 5 )
- [WILD MAGIC] [CHARISMA] Steel your will and allow your untamed magic to unbalance the creature's mind. (DC 5 )
- [SORCERER] [CHARISMA] Draw on your willpower. Improvise a mental shield against the creature's hungry mind. (DC 5 )
Failing to resist, or willingly submitting to the mind flayer, causes the immediate death of the interacting party member. The mind flayer recovers hit points, becoming a weakened mind flayer, and grows hostile to any remaining party members.
Otherwise, the interacting party member ends the mind flayer's life.
