Moonbeam breaks Sanctuary edit

Casting moonbeam does seem to break Sanctuary in v4.1.1, was this not the case before? Rainfall (talk) 19:45, 18 September 2025 (CEST)Reply

It was definitely not the case before. Also, this would be big news, since it's a famous exploit. Are you sure it wasn't something else that broke Sanctuary? Taylan (talk) 19:47, 18 September 2025 (CEST)Reply
Combat Round 1
Ombrecœur cast Moonbeam.
Ombrecœur summoned Moonbeam.
Ombrecœur lost Condition: Spell Rot Necrosis.
Ombrecœur received Condition: Momentum.
Ombrecœur received Condition: Spell Rot Necrosis.
Ombrecœur lost Condition: Sanctuary.
Crawling Claw received Condition: Moonbeam.
Ombrecœur was hit for 28 Necrotic damage.
Ombrecœur received Condition: Sanctuary Blocked.
Crawling Claw failed a Saving Throw against Moonbeam.
Crawling Claw was hit for 17 Radiant damage.
Moonbeam killed Crawling Claw.
The party gained 170 experience.
Ombrecœur failed a Concentration Saving Throw Saving Throw.
Ombrecœur broke concentration on Moonbeam.
So I guess this is because of the damage that I received, and not actually moonbeam? Rainfall (talk) 22:59, 18 September 2025 (CEST)Reply
Yeah, can confirm that Moonbeam still doesn't break Sanctuary. Please report back if you notice it behaving differently in your gameplay though; would be worth investigating if so. Taylan (talk) 19:36, 19 September 2025 (CEST)Reply
Yes, I assume that it is because of the Spell Rot Necrosis (triggered by the Moonbeam) spell that deals damage and removes the sanctuary consition. Which I still find weird behaviour since I'm not actually harming anything. Rainfall (talk) 18:35, 20 September 2025 (CEST)Reply
