It seems that Lae'zel's romance can be triggered simply by reaching level 4. Lae'zel has just been sitting in my camp for almost the entire game, but I speak to her and everyone else whenever I go to camp for a long rest. Once I reached level 4, she suddenly started talking about how much she liked me, and I had the option to gain "a hot githyanki girlfriend." Checking her approval at this point showed it was at 20 (medium), which I'm assuming was the starting value. | |||

It seems that Lae'zel's romance can be triggered simply by reaching level 4.
