Guildmaster,
I hope you remember me. I knew you when you were still little Astele. I helped your parents search for you in those dark days when you were missing, and celebrated with them when you found your way back.
These new Guild rates are strangling business. I've sought an audience with your bursar already. He tells me it's war-time, and city needs a well-provisioned Guild. I tell him - and you - that the city will still need its cobblers when all of this is done.
