Shield

Shield is a level 1 abjuration spell. This spell allows spellcasters to avoid being hit by an enemy attack at the last possible instant. It also completely nullifies Magic Missile.

Description

When you are about to be hit by an enemy, use your Reaction to increase your  Armour Class by 5. You also take no damage from  Magic Missile. These effects last until the start of your next turn.

Casting this spell at a higher level grants no additional benefit.

Classes:

• Class Level 1: Sorcerer , and Wizard

• Class Level 3: Arcane Trickster Rogue , and Eldritch Knight Fighter

Feats:

•  Magic Initiate: Sorcerer
•  Magic Initiate: Wizard

Granted by the following items:

• Amulet of the Harpers ( Recharge: Long rest)
• Shield of Shielding ( Recharge: Long rest)
• Elegant Studded Leather ( Recharge: Short rest)

Notes

• This spell can trigger under a Sussur Flower Antimagic Field and Barbarian's Rage.
