Shield is a level 1 abjuration spell. It allows spellcasters to avoid being hit by an enemy attack at the last possible instant. It also nullifies Magic Missile damage against them.
Description
When you are about to be hit by an enemy, use your Reaction to increase your Armour Class by 5. You also take no damage from Magic Missile. These effects last until the start of your next turn.

- Elegant Studded Leather ( Recharge: Short rest)

Notes
- This spell does not trigger Spell Rot.
- If a character with more than one class using Charisma as its Spellcasting ability wants this spell (e.g., Sorcerer and The Hexblade) both classes can select it.
- While the Wizard, Arcane Trickster and Eldritch Knight classes share the same Spellcasting ability ( Intelligence), this spell cannot be picked multiple times via these classes on the same character, following these rules:
- A Wizard selection will always be replaced by the two others as it is considered less efficient.
- Once selected by either Arcane Trickster or Eldritch Knight, it will not be available for the other.
Bugs
- Due to a scripting error, this spell does not grant charges of Arcane Ward.
