Damays is a Tiefling Ranger who has captured a dangerous Githyanki: Lae'zel. He is found in the Wilderness alongside Nymessa.

Act One
Damays is found in the Wilderness in Act One.
Zorru was right. Yellow as a toad, and twice as ugly.

After escaping the Nautiloid Wreck on the Ravaged Beach the player may come across Damays and Nymessa. The two have captured Lae'zel and are discussing what to do with her. Damays wants to take Lae'zel back to their camp, while Nymessa wants to leave her behind. Lae'zel will telepathically tell the player to free her. This starts the quest Free Lae'zel.
Involvement
Act One
Damays and Nymessa have captured Lae'zel and are discussing their next steps. Damays wants to bring Lae'zel back to their camp but Nymessa wants to leave her in the cage. When the party arrive in the area, Lae'zel telepathically demands for the player character to free her. This initiates Free Lae'zel.

The player can then convince Damays and Nymessa to aid the party in killing Lae'zel, or set her free by passing an Ability Check. If the player is either a Drow, Drow Half-Elf, Duergar, or a Githyanki, the tieflings will be scared. The player can then dissuade the Tieflings with an Intimidation check.
A party member can offer to aid Damays and Nymessa in killing Lae'zel, or persuade them to release her by passing an Ability Check. If the interacting party member is a drow, drow half-elf, duergar, or githyanki, the tieflings will attack out of fear. Their attack can be dissuaded by passing a Intimidation.

Before leaving, the player can ask both of them if they know of a healer. They will send the player to Nettie, updating the Find a Cure and starting the Get Help from Healer Nettie Quest.
Before leaving the area, if the tieflings were not dispatched through intimidation, the party can ask if they know of a healer. They will direct the party to seek out Nettie, which updates Find a Cure and initiates Get Help from Healer Nettie.

Notes
notebegin
* "Say Please" OR leaving and talking again "Where are your manners? Say 'please'."
* Despite being a tiefling, Damays does not have Darkvision. This may be a bug.
::Astarion Karlach Shadowheart
* If the player selected Lae'zel as their Origin, Damays and Nymessa are already dead when the player character arrives at their location.

noteend
* Recruit Lae'zel
::Gale KarlachShadowheart

Notes
* Even though Damays is a Tiefling, he does not have Darkvision. This may be a bug.
* If the player has chosen Lae'zel as their Origin, Damays and Nymessa will already be dead when the player arrives at their usual location.
