Damays and Nymessa are discussing a captive's fate in the Wilderness during Act One.

Act One[edit section | visual editor]
Damays and Nymessa disagree on their next steps for Lae'zel, who is trapped in an elevated cage. Damays argues that Lae'zel is dangerous and should be brought to Zevlor in the Emerald Grove, but Nymessa argues that it is safer to leave "it" in the cage. If the party approach, Lae'zel telepathically demands that the party free her, initiating Free Lae'zel.
The party can convince the tieflings to leave the area or offer to help kill Lae'zel. If Damays and Nymessa are not dispatched through intimidation, the party can ask about nearby healers. They suggest seeking out Nettie, which advances Find a Cure and Get Help from Healer Nettie.
Attacking Damays and Nymessa by any means, including options that occur through the dialogue, is considered an oathbreaking action for Paladins of any Oath subclass.

Idle banter[edit section | visual editor]
- Nymessa
- Just leave it.
- Damays
- And when the goblins ally with it?
- Nymessa
- We'll be on the road to Baldur's Gate.
- Damays
- Don't be naive. When this thing strikes, there will be no soldiers to protect you. This isn't Elturel.
Notes[edit section | visual editor]
- Despite being a tiefling, Damays does not have Darkvision. This may be a bug.
- If Lae'zel is selected as Origin, Damays and Nymessa are already dead when they arrive at this location.
